Rohlig SUUS Logistics strengthens its position in European road transport. The largest Polish logistics operator offers daily connections to Scandinavia - Sweden and Norway. These deliveries are carried out by the company's branch in Szczecin. Locally, SUUS cooperates with the industry's largest local operator, PostNord, which, like the Polish company, is focused on sustainable development.

Fast and comprehensive with Scandinavia

Rohlig SUUS Logistics offers service on the Poland-Scandinavia line in cooperation with Swedish-Danish logistics operator PostNord, the second largest employer in Sweden. The Polish operator offers not only attractive rates and comprehensive service in this direction, but also a transit time of 2-4 working days. SUUS also makes connections to Norway - in this case the transit time is 4-7 working days. The Scandinavian direction is served by the company's branch in Szczecin, which recently doubled its warehouse space and operational capacity in the region.

At SUUS, we regularly increase the number of road transport connections within Europe. We have recently launched new connections in the Iberian direction, and now we are betting on Scandinavia – says Piotr Szalkiewicz, director of international general cargo at Rohlig Suus Logistics. – We are aware of the growth opportunities provided by cooperation with countries such as Sweden and Norway, which is why we decided to form an alliance with the largest operator in the region. Cooperation with the leaders of individual markets allows us to increase our transport network and improve the quality of service – he adds. Rohlig SUUS Logistics offers connections to/from Bergen, Oslo, Helsingborg and Stockholm.

Szczecin is a window to Scandinavia

Rohlig Suus Logistics, which has been present in the West Pomeranian region since 2009, recently opened a new warehouse in Szczecin, significantly increasing its operational capabilities in the region. What's more, the company has also expanded its services in this area with the acquisition of Expert, a polish company that provides last-mile pallet deliveries, as well as additional services such as carrying and assembling furniture or installing household appliances and consumer electronics.

The West Pomeranian region is a natural logistics hub in the context of trade with Scandinavian countries. Among other reasons, we decided to make new investments in this region – says Marcin Grzelak, Regional Director at Rohlig SUUS Logistics. – We currently have 10,000 sqm of operational space in Szczecin. However, contract logistics services (such as warehousing) are not everything. As a comprehensive operator, we also provide our customers with an offer of road, sea, air and rail freight forwarding, as well as customs services. We can transport the customer's goods from the Far East, for example, by sea to Poland, carry out the customs procedure, store them in the Szczecin branch, and then transport them by road to Scandinavia, which is the final destination – he adds.

Scandinavian sustainable business

The Scandinavian market is well-known for conducting business in accordance with the principles of sustainable development, which is also consistent with the activities of Rohlig SUUS Logistics. ESG issues are an important part of the Polish logistics operator's business strategy. 14 out of 25 warehouses – including the aforementioned facility in Szczecin – have BREEAM certificates confirming that the buildings are environmentally and people-friendly. In road transport, the company makes sure its vehicles are fully filled. The ESG aspect is also important to SUUS when selecting business partners.

Developing the company in a sustainable way is extremely important to both SUUS and PostNord. Among other things, our partner is aiming for zero-emission transportation in its operations by 2030. This was also one of the reasons why we decided to cooperate with this operator – explains Piotr Szalkiewicz.
