» Kochański & Partners support the construction of the third Ronald McDonald House in Poland
In the budget of a public benefit organisation, every zloty counts. This is particularly pertinent when the matter at hand concerns providing a roof over the heads of families with sick children. Thanks to the Kochański & Partners team’s effective tax strategy, the construction of the third Polish Ronald McDonald House at the Children’s Memorial Health Institute (IPCZD) received a huge financial boost. Rather than going to the state budget, 15% of the investment value will go directly towards construction and equipment costs.
A team of advisors from Kochański & Partners represented the Foundation before the Director of the National Revenue Administration Information Centre (KIS). The process required multiple supplements to the arguments and a thorough verification of the facts. The lawyers successfully demonstrated that the Foundation’s Houses are not commercial establishments, but rather a necessary addition to the public healthcare system that fulfils social and residential functions.
After a strenuous process to obtain binding rate information, the tax authority revised its previous position and confirmed the right to apply a lower VAT rate.
